SYRACUSE, NEW YORK -- No. 5 Syracuse will face a top-10 foe for the second-straight game and sixth time this season when it hosts No. 7 Loyola on Wednesday, March 27. Opening draw in the JMA Wireless Dome is set for 4 p.m.
 
Tickets are on sale at Cuse.com/tickets. The game will be televised on ESPNU. Fans can also listen to the broadcast on WJPZ 89.1FM in Syracuse and get live updates on social media (CuseWLax).
 
ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse moved up two spots to No. 5 in this week's ILWomen/IWLCA rankings. The Orange are coming off a 15-14 win against then No. 9 Virginia last weekend in Charlottesville. The victory improved Syracuse's record to 7-3 overall, 5-0 in ACC action.
 
Saturday's win against the Cavaliers was Syracuse's third against an opponent ranked in the top 10 at the time of the game. Overall, the Orange are 3-2 against top-10 teams this season.
 
Kate Mashewske recorded 18 draw controls at Virginia, increasing her career total to 421. She needs 19 draw controls to become Syracuse's all-time leader in that category.
 
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS

Loyola enters Wednesday's game with a 9-0 record, including a 4-0 mark against Patriot League foes. Three of the Greyhounds' wins have come against teams ranked in the top 25.
 
Chase Boyle leads Loyola with 37 goals. She is one of three Greyhounds that have scored 30 or more goals. Georgia Latch is one of the three. She has 30 goals and leads the squad in points (48) and assists (18).
 
Lauren Spence has started all nine games in goal for Loyola. She has a .451 save percentage and an 8.72 goals-against average.
 
The Greyhounds rank second nationally in draw control percentage (.662) and sixth in draw controls per game (17.44). Boyle ranks fourth in the latest Division I statistics in draw controls per game (9.78).
 
THE SERIES

Syracuse and Loyola will meet for the 25th time when they take the field on Wednesday. The Orange lead the all-time series, 19-5.
